The Mayerson JCC connects people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community. With an expansive fitness center, highly regarded early childhood school and senior center, arts and cultural events, and classes for every age, the JCC connects, enriches, and inspires over 50,000 visitors per month. The Director of Jewish Life & Learning serves as the lead Jewish educator, relationship-builder, and community connector for the Mayerson JCC, advancing Jewish life across the organization by integrating Jewish values, learning, culture, and belonging into programs and relationships throughout the JCC. This role supervises the Early Childhood School Jewish Educator and partners closely with staff and leadership across the organization. Please note this role will begin September 1, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Jewish Vision & Organizational Leadership: • Develop and lead a cohesive vision for Jewish life and learning across the JCC • Partner with leadership to ensure Jewish values are woven throughout all areas of the JCC • Serve as a visible, public-facing Jewish leader within the JCC and broader Cincinnati community • Foster partnerships with synagogues, schools, camps, agencies, clergy, and community organizations Educational Programming: • Supervise and support the Early Childhood School Jewish Educator • Lead holiday programming, Shabbat experiences, cultural celebrations, and community conversations • Develop accessible and engaging educational materials and experiential opportunities • Collaborate on family engagement opportunities connected to Jewish holidays and traditions Operations & Administration: • Manage departmental budgets, calendars, logistics, and program evaluation • Contribute to strategic planning, grant opportunities, and organizational priorities Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Jewish Education, Jewish Studies, or related field preferred • Significant experience in Jewish communal work, experiential education, JCCs, camps, or synagogues • Strong knowledge of Jewish traditions, culture, and contemporary Jewish life • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills • Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to innovate Compensation: $90,000-$95,000 annually.
