Job description

The Hebrew Educational Society (H.E.S.) Summer Camp is seeking a Dance Instructor to facilitate its Summer Camp Dance Program for children ages 4–16. Dates: June 29 – August 19, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM Location: 9502 Seaview Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11236 Pay: $25–$30 per hour Groups of 10–18 children attend 45-minute to 1-hour dance sessions designed to support emotional, social, and physical growth — all while having summer camp fun. Responsibilities: • Develop curriculum and activities supporting dance and camp programming • Facilitate sessions for groups of children ages 4–16 • Maintain order in a large group setting • Support children's emotional, social, and physical development • Choreograph and produce a final show/performance Qualifications: • Prior camp experience or experience working with children required • Outgoing, responsible, organized, and creative • Ability to develop engaging dance curriculum • Prior or current dance teaching experience preferred Benefits: Paid sick time included.
