Part-time contract position — Average of 25-30 hours/week MISSION: The National Council of Jewish Women Minnesota (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. OVERVIEW: The Communications and Program Associate will work with the Executive Director to develop and manage communications for the organization and to support the coordination of programs and events. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Digital communications - Manage a robust presence on social media, including responses to breaking news, legislative developments, fundraising efforts, and organizational awareness building - Help prepare and disseminate regular electronic newsletters and eblasts, as needed - Monitor accounts to see if there are messages or comments in need of response or posts from NCJW or partners/coalitions to amplify reach 2. Website management & blog - Update events, action opportunities, and other content as needed, with an eye on driving engagement and website traffic 3. Program support - Create and share/post event or program announcements/promotion and registration forms in Bloomerang and/or Sign Up Genius, including confirmation email as needed - Work with ED or a volunteer to coordinate details and participants for programs (monthly webinars or in-person programs, annual spring event, leadership development programs) - Create/run reports from database, as requested
