Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (TRD) (Part-time 15 hrs.)

Job description

SUMMARY: Perform diversified duties to organize and conduct therapeutic recreation activities. Schedule: Days (PT 15 hrs.) Flex, 2 days per week Essential Responsibilities: • Organize and carry out appropriate group activities and one-to-one sessions to enhance sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills • Complete documentation of resident/patient assessment, progress notes, attendance, MED A documentation, and discharge summaries in compliance with State and Federal regulations • Input MDS/care plan data and attend RCP meetings • Transport resident to and from scheduled activity area; prepare activity area • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies • Drive Mozaic Senior Life vehicles as required for outings • Exhibit leadership qualities, mentor residents, and engage them in recreation programs • Facilitate group process and manage the interpersonal needs of residents • Assess and document the needs and progress of residents • Participate in resident community outings demonstrating resident safety Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's Degree and TRD Certification • Experience: No experience necessary • Licensure: Valid driver's license; CT state TRD or CTRS Certification
