SUMMARY: Perform diversified duties to organize and conduct therapeutic recreation activities. Schedule: Per Diem – Therapeutic Recreation Music Therapist (TRD) Essential Responsibilities: • Organize and carry out appropriate group activities and one-to-one sessions to enhance sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills • Complete documentation of resident/patient assessment, progress notes, attendance, MED A documentation, and discharge summaries in compliance with State and Federal regulations • Input MDS/care plan data and attend RCP meetings • Transport resident to and from scheduled activity area; prepare activity area • Drive JHE vehicles as required for outings • Exhibit leadership qualities, mentor residents, and engage them in recreation programs • Mentor Music Therapy interns • Facilitate group process and manage the interpersonal needs of residents • Maintain necessary credentials to provide Music Therapy to Residents/Patients Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy • Experience: No experience necessary • Licensure: Valid driver's license; CT state TRD or CTRS Certification
