Early Childhood Certified Pre-K Teacher

JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA is seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Pre-K Teacher for our Godine Early Learning Center. Starting salary: $47,940 – $53,040 annually. Primary Responsibilities: • Implement developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum • Assess developmental stages of children and maintain records using COR Advantage • Adhere to Mass EEC and JCC SHEVA frameworks; comply with all EEC and NAEYC guidelines • Maintain an organized, vibrant classroom environment promoting health, safety, and development • Set limits using positive language and maintain excellent classroom management • Document learning through portfolio, observational checklist, digital photography, and journals • Facilitate each child's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth • Provide excellent communication to inform parents about developmental stages and curriculum • Participate in scheduled parent conferences throughout the year Qualifications: • EEC Teacher certification required • A.A. in Early Childhood Education + minimum one year supervised experience required • B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to lift and carry young children (up to 20-30 lbs) • Must be able to work in person at Newton site Benefits (Full-time): • Competitive cost-sharing Health and Dental Insurance • JCC-sponsored Group Life Insurance and LTD Coverage • 403(b) retirement plan • Generous paid time off • Complimentary individual JCC membership including fitness center, group classes, and pool • Discounts on JCC Early Learning Centers and summer camp programs JCC Greater Boston is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes staff from diverse backgrounds.
