Program Officer, Refugee & Emigration Department (RED)

Job description

Support the Refugee & Emigration Department in administering compensation programs for Holocaust survivors and their families. Review and process applications for claims, conduct research and analysis, communicate with claimants and partner organizations, maintain accurate documentation and database records, and provide exceptional customer service to survivors. Work collaboratively with international team members and external stakeholders to ensure fair and efficient processing of claims. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, cultural sensitivity when working with Holocaust survivors, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of European history, particularly Holocaust history, and foreign language skills (especially German, Russian, or Eastern European languages) preferred.
