URJ Camp Newman seeks a strategic and relationship‑driven Development Manager to support fundraising efforts and deepen donor engagement for the camp’s summer and year‑round experiences. Reporting to the Development Director, this role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and storytelling, strategy and execution, and is passionate about helping young people thrive through immersive Jewish experiences. Responsibilities include managing donor database systems (Salesforce) with timely and accurate gift entry, acknowledgments and reporting; tracking progress toward fundraising goals; generating reports and providing strategic insights; coordinating grant tracking, reporting and compliance; and maintaining clean data and communications lists to support alumni and community‑building efforts. The Development Manager also partners with camp and URJ leadership to implement comprehensive fundraising strategies—annual campaigns, capital projects, planned giving, alumni engagement and prospect management—and supports cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors at all levels, from grassroots through major donors, foundations and institutional funders. Collaboration with marketing teams to coordinate donor communications (newsletters, acknowledgments, grassroots appeals and impact reports) is essential, as is providing administrative support to the Executive Director, Development Director and lay leaders.
