Maintenance Associate, URJ Crane Lake Camp

URJ Crane Lake Camp seeks a hands‑on Maintenance Associate to ensure the camp remains a safe, welcoming and well‑maintained environment for staff, campers and retreat groups. As part of the Facilities team, this role performs a wide range of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on camp buildings, grounds, equipment and systems—including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC—ensuring safety and functionality. The associate maintains campgrounds through mowing, weeding, debris removal and snow shoveling; performs janitorial duties such as cleaning floors and windows and repairing basic fixtures; manages waste and recycling disposal; and assists with preparing camp for group use by setting up rooms and securing camp after departures. The role provides immediate maintenance support during emergencies, maintains a safe and clean workshop, follows safety protocols and collaborates with vendors, staff and the community. Candidates should be dependable, adaptable and skilled in general facility maintenance, committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming camp environment.
