Job description

Jewish News is seeking a talented and passionate Copywriter to join the team. This role may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on candidate availability and organizational needs. Responsibilities include writing clear, persuasive, and engaging copy with emphasis on articles and feature writing, collaborating with editorial and graphics teams, proofreading/editing/fact-checking content, conducting research to support assigned stories, and staying current on journalism and digital communication best practices. Candidates should demonstrate understanding of Jewish culture, history, issues, and traditions. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (preferred in journalism, English, communications, or related field), excellent writing/editing/proofreading skills, experience writing across multiple formats (print, email, digital, social), strong organizational and time-management abilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
