Job description

Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) is hiring a Development Manager for a remote, full-time (non-exempt) role reporting to the Chief of Staff. This position is responsible for managing and implementing the organization’s fundraising efforts including individual giving, foundation grants, development events, and donor relations and communications. The Development Manager will help execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities, cultivate and solicit new and existing donors and foundations, oversee grant writing and reporting for timely submission and compliance, and plan and support fundraising events, campaigns, and communications. Responsibilities also include managing the donor database (EveryAction) to track contributions and relationships, creating and managing donor marketing materials and collateral, maintaining supporter communications through newsletters, updates, and personal outreach, developing donor stewardship and recognition strategies, collaborating with board members and program staff to align fundraising with organizational goals, and tracking grant-related metrics while producing reports for donors and stakeholders. Qualifications include 3–5+ years of nonprofit fundraising/development experience (preferably in advocacy, political, or social justice organizations), proven donor cultivation/solicitation and grant-writing success, strong relationship-building and writing skills, experience with donor databases/CRM systems (EveryAction preferred), strategic and independent work style, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Compensation range is $80,000–$95,000 commensurate with experience, with full benefits including health, dental, life insurance, and a retirement plan.
