Position: Managing Director Organization: Grinspoon Hillel at Cornell Location: Ithaca, NY Reports to: CEO Grinspoon Hillel at Cornell is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Managing Director to lead the vision, execution, and growth of Jewish student life on one of the nation’s most vibrant campuses. As the senior campus executive for student engagement and programs, this leader oversees student life, engagement strategy, and communications while supervising a team of 7+ program professionals within a $2M+ organization. This role directs large-scale campus engagement strategy, student leadership development, and program excellence, and serves as the primary representative of Hillel’s student-facing work to the university and community. The Managing Director will help shape the future of Jewish life at Cornell, including planning and operational systems for a new Hillel center opening in 2027. Key Responsibilities: - Lead campus-wide Jewish engagement and program strategy - Supervise and develop program and engagement staff - Drive student leadership, affinity groups, and major experiences - Oversee student and parent communications and digital engagement systems - Build university and community partnerships - Manage program budgets, reporting, and evaluation processes Ideal Candidate: - 8+ years senior leadership experience in Jewish, nonprofit, or educational settings - Strong team builder, strategic thinker, and student-centered leader - Experienced with CRM systems and digital communications - Comfortable across diverse Jewish identities and campus environments - Bachelor’s required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred Compensation: Salary approximately $125,000–$135,000 plus comprehensive benefits, retirement, professional development, and national Hillel network opportunities.
