Job description
Position: K-12 Education Director Organization: JCRC-NY Location: New York, NY The K-12 Education Director serves as JCRC-NY’s primary representative to NYC public schools, leading initiatives to combat antisemitism, advance Jewish identity education, and support Jewish students, families, and educators. This is a field-heavy organizing role requiring deep relationship-building across the NYC public school system. Core Responsibilities: - Lead and expand the Student to Student program by recruiting and training Jewish student presenters and building partnerships with schools - Coordinate rapid response and follow-up to antisemitic incidents within schools - Implement Jewish history and identity curricula, including Jewish American and Holocaust education initiatives - Connect educators with vetted Jewish perspective resources - Organize and empower Jewish parents in school governance and advocacy - Support Jewish teachers and student clubs with guidance and crisis support Ideal Candidate: - Experienced community organizer with strong NYC public school system connections - Deep knowledge of NYCPS structures, policies, and stakeholders - Skilled relationship builder and facilitator - Comfortable working extensively in the field and in crisis-response situations - Strong understanding of antisemitism in educational settings Compensation: Salary range $120,000–$140,000.
