Donor Officer

Job description

The Jewish Federation of Detroit seeks a Donor Officer energized by building relationships and inspired by the power of philanthropy to change lives. This role manages and grows a portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivates meaningful connections, and leads transformational acts of generosity that strengthen Jewish Detroit. Responsibilities include building long-term values-driven relationships, creating collaborative partnerships with senior development staff and volunteer leaders, partnering with donors to align philanthropic interests with community priorities, inspiring generosity through thoughtful engagement and personalized communication, and stewarding donors through strategic touchpoints. Requires 3+ years of experience in fundraising or donor relations, demonstrated success in cultivating and soliciting gifts, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organizational abilities. Proficiency with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus) and knowledge of AI tools for fundraising preferred.
