Job description
American Jewish University seeks an Associate Director for Brandeis Camp Institute (BCI), an 18-day in-residence fellowship for Jews in their 20's exploring identity, purpose, and leadership through dialogue, text, arts, music, and nature. As part of the BCI leadership team, the Associate Director maintains a visible public presence representing BCI and its values, serving as the lead administrator and liaison for the BCI community. Responsibilities include vision and community leadership, managing day-to-day camp operations and staff recruitment, partnering with advancement team on donor outreach and engagement, supporting the annual budgeting process, overseeing compliance with all application steps, taking a lead role in social media engagement and communications, and coordinating logistics for programming including travel arrangements and staff housing. Requires highly organized individual able to manage complex scheduling, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of Jewish tradition and values, and Masters in Jewish Education or nonprofit management. Salary: $75,000-$90,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, vacation and sick leave, all Jewish holidays off and shortened Fridays.
