Job description
American Jewish University seeks a Senior Director of Advancement, Major Gifts and Planned Giving reporting to the VP of Advancement. This role is responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects to secure major gifts ($10,000+) and planned gifts, including bequests, endowments, and capital contributions. Responsibilities include serving as Moves Manager working with Board members to develop individualized cultivation and stewardship strategies, working in close partnership with academic leadership to match donor interests with institutional priorities, maintaining accurate records using HubSpot CRM, arranging donor visits and tours, serving as in-house expert on planned giving helping donors explore legacy giving options, and building and maintaining a pipeline of planned giving prospects. Requires proven track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts, strong knowledge of planned giving vehicles and strategies, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated success managing donor portfolio using Moves Management approach, familiarity with the Jewish community, and minimum 5+ years experience in senior development role with focus on major gifts and planned giving. Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred. Salary: $150,000-$180,000.
