The American Technion Society (ATS) — the U.S. support organization for the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology — seeks a Director of Development, New England to serve as the organization's senior fundraising leader and primary presence in the Greater New England region. ATS represents thousands of U.S. donors, alumni, and stakeholders and has supported Technion scholarships, research, labs, and facilities for more than 80 years. Its team of 70+ professionals works across NYC and regional offices nationwide. The Role: As a senior fundraising leader and advocate for Israel, the Director of Development plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of ATS: • Lead major gifts fundraising as a senior representative and advocate for Israel on behalf of ATS • Serve as ATS's primary presence in Greater New England, engaging high-net-worth donors and key influencers • Drive regional major gifts strategy, pipeline development, and donor stewardship • Plan and execute high-impact cultivation and fundraising events • Partner with lay leadership and report to the Executive Director of Principal Gifts, Eastern Region Responsibilities: • Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 donors, including those capable of $25,000 to $5 million gifts • Lead end-to-end major gifts activity: prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship • Meet fundraising benchmarks to contribute to ATS's annual and long-term goals • Identify new major gift prospects and renew existing annual gifts at the $25K+ level • Identify planned giving candidates and additional major gift prospects • Assess giving potential, recommend ask amounts, and develop personalized strategies to secure gifts • Work independently and as a team member to manage relationship building and solicitation within an assigned portfolio • Partner with senior ATS team members on strategy, cultivation, and face-to-face donor visits • Engage volunteer and lay leaders to expand networks and philanthropic impact • Represent ATS and the Technion through high-impact events and donor-facing initiatives • Collaborate with colleagues on annual and long-term fundraising strategies, tracking progress toward goals • Maintain accurate donor records in the ATS database • Travel throughout New England with periodic domestic and Israel-based travel Qualifications: • 10+ years of major gifts fundraising experience, preferably in education, technology, or advocacy • Deep passion for Israel and alignment with ATS's mission • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated track record of securing major gifts Our Organizational Values: • Act as one team, with accountability to each other • Share our strengths for the betterment of the organization • Be curious, ask questions, assume best intent • Adapt readily to change in our internal and external environments Benefits: At ATS, we're committed to fostering your professional journey through targeted development programs, ensuring your career growth is at the forefront of our priorities.
