Job description

The Gift Processing & Analytics department has an exciting opportunity for a skilled development and nonprofit professional who thrives in a fast-paced gift-processing environment. As a Gift Processing Associate, you will work on all aspects of gift processing, including cash, online, direct-mail, and pledge gifts. You will handle the acknowledgment letters process, ensure the integrity and accuracy of all donor constituent data, and process gifts in Raiser's Edge NXT, working closely with the finance team. Attention to detail, a team-player approach, and the ability to work independently are essential. This role requires working under tight deadlines, with flexibility for overtime during year-end busy season. Key Responsibilities • Raiser's Edge Database Management: Create and update constituent records using all modules within Raiser's Edge NXT; add relationships, notes, attributes, and demographic information; identify duplicate records; edit and enter gifts in batch; coordinate with Accounting for financial review and departmental approvals; upload documents to donor records. • Troubleshoot gift entry issues and field internal inquiries regarding donors and gifts. • Process Direct Mail gifts using ImportOmatic; liaise with direct mail processors on gifts processed offsite. • Process Online gifts, creating individual batches from Raiser's Edge NXT using ImportOmatic; edit and validate batches. • Process all checks, wires, stocks, and foreign currency gifts in a batch through gift edit and entry. • Enter pledges in a batch and process for Finance approval. • Handle the acknowledgment letters process, including letter merge, non-automated letters and tribute cards, biweekly acknowledgement reports, acknowledgement inquiries, letter printing, and mailing preparation. • Process grant agreements for signature through all stakeholders. • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • Prior experience in a fundraising department and with a fundraising database (e.g., Raiser's Edge NXT or similar) at an associate-level. • Prior experience working remotely with a CRM and closely with a remote team. • Basic knowledge of large nonprofit Development operations. • Strong computer skills, including expertise with Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong reading comprehension. • Excellent detail orientation, organization, and multi-tasking skills with high standards of accuracy. • Strong troubleshooting and research skills. • Ability to think proactively, problem-solve, and prioritize in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications • Global nonprofit experience a plus. • Passion for humanitarian work and/or global Jewish service strongly preferred. Compensation & Benefits • Salary: $50,000–$60,000/year (semi-monthly pay, non-exempt). • 100% paid medical and dental insurance for employee coverage. • Paid time off: 15 vacation days, 15 sick days, 3 personal days, 10 national holidays, and up to 14 Jewish holidays. • 12 weeks paid parental leave (after 1 year of service). • 403(b) with JDC contributions of 6.5% of salary. • FSA, commuter benefits, and life insurance. • Learning & Development opportunities through workshops and internal L&D program. • Food perks: Bagel Thursdays, beverages, and snacks in office.
