Associate, Community Relations

Job description

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland seeks an Associate, Community Relations to partner with the Managing Director of Community Relations and External Affairs in building collaborative relationships with external community groups and representing Jewish interests to the broader Cleveland community. This full-time position is based at 25701 Science Park Drive, Cleveland, OH. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage programs engaging Jewish and non-Jewish communities on topics including local current events, international affairs and Israel, antisemitism, and civil rights • Plan events such as Holocaust Commemoration, Tu B'Shevat programs, and cultural competency initiatives • Build coalitions with religious, civic, and political leaders • Work with diverse constituencies to ensure balanced representation within committees • Allocate approximately 10% of time to annual Campaign assignments Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred) • 2+ years professional experience in related fields (accepted in lieu of Master's) • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse viewpoints and audiences • Superior communication skills • Strong knowledge of Israel and Jewish culture/traditions • Experience with nonprofit organizations preferred Preferred Experience: Background in policy, public affairs, community relations, or political campaigns Contact: Rivki Ebner, Senior Manager of Recruitment | 216-593-2921 | [email protected]
