Hospice CNA

JSSA's hospice program has an opening for an experienced hospice aide with a current Maryland CNA license, to assist patients with end-of-life care needs throughout Montgomery County.

Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care to patients in their place of residence in accordance with the plan of care, including bathing, oral hygiene, hair and nail care, positioning and patient transfers
• Keep the patient's environment clean, healthy, pleasant and safe
• Prepare meals according to dietary instructions to promote optimal nutrition
• Encourage and assist clients in diversion activities under a nurse's direction
• Observe and report changes in a patient's condition, or in family or environmental factors, to the registered nurse, and report emergencies promptly

Qualifications:
• Active State of Maryland CNA license
• 2+ years of experience in a hospital, nursing home or home health agency; 1 year of hospice experience preferred
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Reliable, independent transportation for facility and home visits throughout Montgomery County
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, electronic medical records and Android phone documentation

**Hours:** 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

**Pay:** Starts at $21.00 per hour, with medical, prescription, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, holiday, vacation, personal and sick pay, and a 403(b) retirement savings plan with match.
