Chief Operating Officer

Temple Shalom of Newton, a Reform Jewish congregation of 600 families, seeks a strategic, collaborative, systems and execution-oriented executive to serve as its first Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the Senior Rabbi, the COO holds overall responsibility for the congregation's operations and leads a senior team of department directors.

Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic business operations across the congregation
• Manage the annual budget and the talent strategy
• Lead and develop a senior team of department directors
• Build and maintain the systems, standards and operating discipline that staff and board rely on
• Work closely with clergy, staff, lay leaders and partners

**Hours:** Full time, in person. Some nights and weekends may be required.
