In addition to leading services, we seek a Rabbi who will bring our community together through prayer, learning, kindness, and meaningful personal connections, while helping us strengthen our congregation and build for the future. What We Are Looking For A Rabbi Who Leads with Heart • Demonstrates kindness, warmth, compassion, and an encouraging, supportive manner. • Is a thoughtful and compassionate listener who makes congregants feel welcomed and valued. • Shows genuine concern for congregants during times of illness, grief, celebration, and life transitions. • Helps foster a welcoming, inclusive, and caring Jewish community. A Rabbi Who Brings Prayer to Life • Loves Jewish prayer and knows the traditional melodies and nusach, and can lead meaningful prayer services. • Is comfortable leading Shabbat services, High Holiday services, and special occasions. • Is proficient in Torah and Haftarah chanting. • Has a working knowledge of Hebrew. A Rabbi Who Inspires and Teaches • Delivers meaningful sermons that connect everyday life with the weekly parashah and Jewish values. • Makes prayer, Torah, and Jewish learning accessible and engaging, including for congregants with limited Hebrew knowledge. • Encourages participation, learning, and a deeper connection to Jewish tradition. A Rabbi Who Builds Community and Looks Ahead • Engages with congregants and helps strengthen community connections and outreach. • Supports our efforts to rebuild and revitalize our synagogue school. • Brings enthusiasm, dedication, and a collaborative spirit to helping our congregation grow. An Opportunity to Make a Difference Our synagogue has served the Vineland Jewish community for 100 years. We are seeking a Rabbi who appreciates our history, respects our traditions, and shares our hope for a vibrant Jewish future. If you are a Rabbi who believes that prayer should inspire, Torah should connect, and community should feel like family, we would love to hear from you.
