Field Technology Specialist – POS Systems Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Full-Time Salary: $90,000–$100,000, depending on experience Position Overview A growing technology company is seeking a hands-on, tech-savvy Field Technology Specialist to visit retail locations and handle the installation, setup, and implementation of technology systems and equipment. This person will be responsible for setting up POS systems and related devices, ensuring everything is working properly, and training store employees on how to use the systems. Key Responsibilities Travel to retail locations to install and set up POS systems and related technology. Configure devices, hardware, and system components. Ensure all equipment is properly connected, functioning, and ready for use. Train store owners and employees on how to operate the systems. Provide hands-on technical assistance and troubleshoot issues on-site. Help stores understand system features and day-to-day functionality. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth implementations. Provide follow-up support when needed. Qualifications Previous experience in IT, technical support, hardware installation, or a similar hands-on technology role. Technically savvy with a strong ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Comfortable working with POS systems, computers, and electronic devices. Hands-on, mechanically inclined, and good at figuring things out. Strong communication skills and the ability to train nontechnical users. Comfortable traveling to different retail locations. Dependable, personable, and able to work independently.
