Community Security Director - Broward County

Secure Community Network (SCN), the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America, is hiring a Community Security Director for Broward County. Working under SCN and the Jewish Federation of Broward County, you'll lead the community security program as a security advisor, liaison and training coordinator for Jewish institutions across the county, and serve as liaison or incident commander during crises.

Responsibilities:
• Represent SCN and the Federation to local, state and federal law enforcement and other partners
• Develop security plans and policies, including emergency communications, mass notification, crisis management and physical security
• Conduct threat, hazard and vulnerability assessments and recommend ways to reduce risk
• Support security planning for special events and review partner agencies' security programs
• Monitor terrorism and public safety intelligence and share it with the community
• Train community groups in security awareness
• Report to key leadership, including SCN's National Director/CEO and the Federation's CEO

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Law enforcement academy certification (or an approved military law enforcement MOS) with at least 10 years of sworn law enforcement experience, plus formal leadership experience
• Able to pass background checks and obtain a SECRET security clearance
• Broad knowledge of security protocols, threat investigations, physical security and emergency management
• Budget and grant-writing experience; CPP or PSP certification a plus

Salary: $130,000–$140,000
