Housekeeping

The York Jewish Community Center is hiring a weekend housekeeper to keep the JCC and Temple Beth Israel facilities clean, organized and ready to reopen each morning.

Responsibilities:
• Sweep, mop, steam clean and vacuum floors
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks and showers
• Set up rooms for rentals with plenty of time before renters arrive
• Restock paper products, soap and housekeeping supplies
• Care for cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
• Secure doors and windows, and report maintenance issues to the facility directors
• Greet members and guests courteously

Qualifications:
• Housekeeping experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
• Strong attention to detail, and able to work independently or on a team
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Openness to Jewish religion and traditions

**Schedule:** Part-time, Saturdays and Sundays, 6:45 AM–1:00 PM, with occasional extra hours.
