Executive Director

Tamir, an Ottawa agency guided by Jewish culture and values, is hiring an Executive Director. Tamir supports people with developmental disabilities and autism to live full, meaningful lives through residential services, day programs, employment and volunteer opportunities, Judaic outreach, arts and recreation, and Keshet Children and Youth Programs, and it welcomes people of all faiths. The new Executive Director will build on a strong foundation as a relationship-focused, values-led leader who is deeply connected to Jewish life. The Phelps Group is running the search.

Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic and operational leadership, turning priorities into clear goals and driving continuous improvement
• Build a positive, collaborative workplace culture and develop leadership capacity
• Champion high-quality, person-centred programs, and keep Tamir's Jewish identity and values present across its services
• Lead budgeting and financial stewardship
• Serve as the Board's key strategic partner, supporting strong governance and regulatory compliance
• Strengthen relationships with participants, families, staff, funders, government and the Jewish community, and cultivate donors and new funding

Qualifications:
• A master's degree or credential in nonprofit management, or equivalent senior leadership experience
• Senior leadership in a complex community-based, nonprofit or human services organization; developmental or social services experience is a strong asset
• A meaningful connection to Jewish life, values and community
• Strong relationship-building, communication, financial and organizational leadership
• Commitment to inclusion, dignity and a human rights-based approach

Salary: $155,000–$170,000
