Patient Accounts Supervisor

JSSA is hiring an experienced healthcare billing supervisor to lead its patient accounts team full-time in the Rockville office. Reporting to the Director of Patient Accounts, you'll supervise patient account specialists, oversee posting of insurance and client payments, review billing and collections, work complicated denials and analyze aging receivables.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the team's payment posting and help resolve system issues
• Review accounts receivable weekly to resolve outstanding balances
• Verify eligibility and benefits and obtain authorizations
• Submit weekly claim batches and follow up on held claims
• Review client and third-party billing for accuracy, approve patient statements, and make corrections
• Work with clinicians to resolve payer issues, answer billing inquiries, and resolve credit balances and adjustments

Qualifications:
• AA or BS degree
• 5+ years of third-party billing and collections experience, including 2 years supervising
• Knowledge of third-party reimbursement requirements and electronic billing
• Advanced Excel and strong customer service

Salary: $70,000
