Job description

Jewish Silicon Valley (JSV), formed by the merger of the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley and the Addison-Penzak JCC, is hiring a Director of Frontline Engagement to lead its community relations, public affairs, civic engagement and antisemitism response work. The primary focus is K-12 education: building trusted relationships with school districts, administrators and families to address bias, support Jewish students and build coalitions. Reports to the Chief Community Officer and works closely with the CEO on state and federal priorities.

Responsibilities:
• Build relationships with K-12 superintendents, principals, educators and school boards, and serve as a resource on issues affecting Jewish students
• Address antisemitism and bias in schools with educational and communal partners, and support holiday and religious accommodations
• Support teens, high school Jewish clubs and youth groups, in step with JSV's youth and camp teams
• Convene faith, ethnic, civic, cultural and business partners, and coordinate with JCRC, BACCA, BAJC and ADL
• Build relationships with local and state elected officials, and support the CEO's advocacy
• Coordinate responses to antisemitic incidents, and guide lay committees and parent outreach

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in education, public policy, community relations or a related field preferred
• 3–5+ years in community relations, public affairs, K-12 education or administration, advocacy or nonprofit leadership
• Exceptional writing, public speaking and facilitation
• A track record of building cross-sector coalitions
• Familiarity with the Jewish community ecosystem and with antisemitism and educational-inclusion policy

Salary: $85,000–$100,000

**Schedule:** Typically Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. Requires a clear LiveScan background check.
