Job Description
About the Role

The Event Production Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality live, virtual, and hybrid events across Uber's offices. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on ensuring that event logistics, technical coordination, and run-of-show execution are delivered smoothly and professionally.

This individual will support executive meetings, internal productions, all-hands, offsites, and partner events, serving as the primary onsite event operator. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in event production and live event operations, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can independently manage event execution from setup through teardown.

What the Candidate Will Do

Plan, coordinate, and execute live, virtual, and hybrid events from initial setup through teardown.
Manage event logistics, including room readiness, content playback, timing, transitions, and backstage operations.
Execute run-of-show plans by coordinating cues, signals, timing, and presenter flow.
Partner with AV Engineering, Workplace, Communications, and external production vendors to ensure seamless event readiness and execution.
Provide hands-on onsite operational support for executive meetings, all-hands, offsites, and partner events.
Troubleshoot issues during live events, escalating technical or operational challenges as needed to maintain event continuity.
Manage event materials, production checklists, scheduling, and pre-production workflows.
Communicate event requirements, readiness updates, and operational needs to key stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), operational standards, and scalable event workflows.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in event production, live event operations, corporate events, or a related field.
Experience executing in-person and hybrid events using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar technologies.
Demonstrated ability to manage event logistics, backstage coordination, cueing, timing, and onsite event support.
Strong hands-on operational experience, including event setup, pre-production preparation, vendor coordination, scheduling, and run-of-show execution.
Proven ability to troubleshoot issues during live events, remain composed under pressure, and respond effectively to unexpected challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, deadlines, and execution quality.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting executive-level events, leadership meetings, or high-visibility internal productions.
Familiarity with hybrid event production workflows, including multi-camera setups, basic audio/video routing, and content playback.
Experience collaborating with AV Engineering, Workplace teams, Communications, or external production vendors.
Strong understanding of event operations processes, production checklists, and operational best practices.
Experience developing or maintaining event documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and event readiness workflows.
Familiarity with staging, lighting, and show-calling concepts from an event operations perspective, without requiring advanced engineering expertise.
