Student Interviewer

Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual student interviews using AMHSI's approved interview questions and guidelines.
Build rapport with applicants and ask appropriate follow-up questions.
Assess applicants' readiness for the program from a social and academic perspective.
Complete concise, objective interview reports promptly after each interview.
Clearly document concerns or information requiring additional review.
Maintain accurate interview availability and accommodate some evening and weekend appointments.
Participate in required training and periodic interviewer meetings.
Protect applicant confidentiality, maintain professional boundaries, and escalate significant concerns through the designated process.

Qualifications:

Experience working with high school students in education, admissions, counseling, youth programming, or a related setting.
Strong interviewing, active-listening, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written communication, including the ability to summarize observations clearly and objectively.
Sound judgment, professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Comfort using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and online scheduling and form systems.
Availability during some evenings and weekends.

Preferred:

Experience conducting structured interviews or student assessments.
Familiarity with adolescent development, Jewish education, Israel programs, or study-abroad programs.
Experience preparing student summaries, case notes, or admissions documentation.
