Job description

Role Purpose
The Group COO will own the operational performance of the business across warehouse logistics, distribution, fulfilment, systems, people, processes, and multiple operating sites.

This is a hands-on, highly innovative leadership role for someone who has a proven track record of transforming operations, not simply managing existing systems. The COO will identify inefficiencies, introduce new ways of working, and build scalable systems that improve performance, accountability, efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead group-wide warehouse, logistics, fulfilment, distribution, and operational execution across multiple sites.
• Translate company strategy into clear operating plans, KPIs, performance standards, and accountability structures.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, cost leaks, service failures, and operational risks before they become major issues.
• Drive operational transformation through new systems, technology, automation, reporting, process redesign, and improved operating models.
• Build strong site leadership and a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Travels as needed across states to visit sites, inspect operations, coach leaders, and implement improvements.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership on expansion, operational strategy, and business performance.
• Take ownership of major operational issues and ensure problems are resolved at their root cause.

Required Experience & Qualities
• Senior operations leadership experience in warehouse logistics, distribution, supply chain, 3PL, retail operations, e-commerce fulfilment, or a similar high-volume environment.
• Proven track record of introducing new systems, processes, technology, or operating models that resulted in measurable operational improvement.
• Experience managing and improving operations across multiple sites or business units.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both in leading and managing team members and collaborating effectively with leaders across the organization.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to connect operational detail to the broader business.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strong at identifying issues others may overlook.
• Hands-on leadership style with strong executive presence and the ability to influence teams at all levels.
• Highly innovative, solutions-oriented, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
• Willingness to work in-office three days per week and travel regularly across states.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an operations builder and transformer
The ideal candidate should be able to clearly demonstrate:
• What was not working or could be improved.
• What new system, process, technology, or operating model they introduced.
• How they implemented the change.
• What measurable results it produced.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have created groundbreaking improvements, introduced new ways of operating, and can demonstrate tangible results.
