Based in New York City, NY, the Manager serves as an extension of the Vice President of Engagement & Alumni Affairs, turning engagement priorities into consistent outreach, programming, partnerships, and volunteer leadership throughout the region. Working closely with Development, Events, Marketing, and University leadership, the Manager builds inclusive alumni communities that encourage mentorship, networking, advocacy, and philanthropy. Overall engagement strategy and priority relationships remain under the direction of the Vice President of Engagement & Alumni Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

Alumni Relationship Management

Execute the alumni engagement plans and priorities set by the Vice President of Engagement & Alumni Affairs for the East Coast portfolio and priority markets, serving both Israeli-American and OSP/Jewish-American alumni.
Manage a portfolio of alumni relationships through in-person meetings, calls, small gatherings, and digital outreach, and support the Vice President with priority relationships.
Connect alumni with TAU faculty, research, students, and philanthropic opportunities, and follow up consistently so that engagement leads to meaningful next steps.
Share market intelligence, alumni feedback, and emerging opportunities with the Vice President of Engagement & Alumni Affairs.

Community Building, Partnerships, and Programming

Build alumni communities across the East Coast, and recruit and support volunteer leaders, ambassadors, hosts, and local alumni committees across both alumni communities.
Develop affinity groups based on industry, profession, geography, and shared interests, and support young alumni engagement, mentorship, and networking across industries, generations, and academic programs.
Build partnerships with Israeli-American and Jewish-American community organizations, including the Israeli-American Council (IAC), Israeli Consulates, business and professional associations, Jewish Federations, Hillel organizations, Jewish Community Centers, synagogues, young leadership organizations, and study-abroad networks.
Partner with the Manager of Events & Engagement to deliver alumni programming, including networking events, faculty programs, executive roundtables, mentorship initiatives, and virtual engagement, and support visits by TAU faculty and leadership.
Perform other alumni engagement and special project responsibilities as assigned.

Development Partnership

Identify alumni with leadership and philanthropic potential, and work with the Vice President of Engagement & Alumni Affairs and Development colleagues to determine next steps.
Support prospect cultivation, faculty and executive meetings, and stewardship activities. Development retains responsibility for fundraising strategy and solicitation.
Communications, Data, and Collaboration

Partner with the Manager of Events & Engagement and Marketing to recommend alumni stories and support targeted alumni communications.
Maintain accurate alumni records in Raiser’s Edge, track engagement activity and agreed performance indicators, and prepare regular updates for the Vice President of Engagement & Alumni Affairs.
Collaborate with the other Alumni Relationship Manager and colleagues across AFTAU and TAU to coordinate national initiatives, share best practices, and ensure continuity for alumni relationships that span regions.
