Job description

Financial Operations Manager | Cedarhurst, NY · $140,000–$160,000

About the Role:
This Financial Operations Manager role owns the structure behind a growing finance firm: designing, documenting, and rolling out the processes that keep advisors and clients on track. Reporting directly to the CEO and CFO, the position supports advisors across US and offshore teams and ensures every client has a consistent, excellent experience from day one. This is a full-time, on-site, hands-on role for someone who loves building structure and getting teams to adopt it.

Key Responsibilities

Empower Advisors

  • Hold weekly check-ins with advisors and managers to understand their work, remove roadblocks, and support their growth
  • Maintain a clear view of staffing and workload across US and offshore teams, and rebalance when needed
  • Help teams delegate effectively so everyone works at the top of their skill set

Own the Client Journey

  • Lead onboarding calls for new clients and make sure staffing, setup, and timelines are ready
  • Check in throughout onboarding and manage smooth, well-documented offboarding
  • Spot friction points and turn them into lasting improvements

Build Structure That Lasts

  • Design, document, and roll out SOPs and workflows in the project management system
  • Drive follow-through on firm priorities across every department
  • Give leadership a clear, regular picture of capacity, progress, and deadlines

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in operations, practice management, or client services, including experience leading teams
  • Track record of creating SOPs and workflows from scratch and getting teams to adopt them
  • Experience managing or delegating to remote or offshore staff
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Accounting or Finance; Business Administration or Operations Management also welcome
  • Comfort with workflow or project management software (Teamwork, Asana, or similar) and strong Excel skills
  • Bonus: Experience at an accounting, CPA, fractional CFO, or financial advisory firm
