Basic Forklift Driver

Base Salary: $80,000 / year

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Basic Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Monsey, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and staging inventory within our facility using standard forklift equipment. Clear communication is critical to maintaining a safe work environment, so fluent English is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to load, unload, stack, and move materials throughout the facility.

• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify items, counts, and product quality against delivery notes.

• Transport materials safely to designated storage locations or shipping bays.

• Perform daily pre-operation safety checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.

• Assist with general warehouse tasks, including manual material handling, palletizing, and keeping aisles clean and organized.

• Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Language: Must speak, read, and understand English fluently to follow safety procedures, read work orders, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating a standard forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.

• Certification: Forklift operator certification preferred (or willingness to complete company-sponsored certification).

• Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the shift.

• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and strict attention to safety standards.
