Technical Writer

Responsibilities

Organize and maintain cybersecurity compliance controls, documentation, and supporting artifacts to assist with capture planning and project requirements.
Gather, develop, edit, and format technical information and documentation to support cybersecurity compliance and project deliverables.
Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and other project team members to understand technical designs, document how cybersecurity controls are implemented, and capture the supporting compliance evidence.
Collaborate with project team members to gather information and ensure materials are clear, accurate, and professionally presented.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• IAT II certification (Security+ or better) required.
• Eligibility to Obtain and Maintain a Public Trust/NACI Clearance required.

Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical writing or similar skillset.
• Familiarity with information technology and cyber security concepts and technology

Skills:
• Working knowledge of information technology and cybersecurity concepts, with the ability to collaborate with system engineers and architects to document technical compliance with security controls.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments is preferred, but not required.
