Lifeguard - Aquatics

The Tucson Jewish Community Center is hiring part-time Lifeguards to maintain a safe, welcoming and enjoyable aquatic environment: actively supervising the pool, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies and helping with daily pool operations.

Responsibilities:
• Provide active surveillance and recognize and respond to emergencies
• Enforce pool rules professionally and deliver excellent customer service
• Perform opening, closing and routine deck duties, and keep the pool clean, organized and safe
• Communicate concerns to Aquatics leadership
• Attend required meetings, trainings and in-services

Qualifications:
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, including CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
• Able to stay alert for extended periods and respond calmly in emergencies
• Strong communication, customer service and teamwork
• Dependable and punctual
• Prior lifeguarding experience preferred but not required

**Schedule:** Typical shifts are Mon–Fri 4:45am–11am, 9am–3pm or 1pm–6pm, and Mon–Thu 4pm–9pm.

**Pay:** $17.95/hour
