Lead Early Childhood Teacher

Robert M. Beren Academy, a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Houston, is hiring full-time Lead Teachers for its Early Childhood program. Reporting to the Early Childhood Director, the Lead Teacher creates a positive, inclusive classroom that supports young children's social, emotional and academic growth, rooted in Jewish values.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver age-appropriate lessons in academic subjects (literacy, math, science) and Jewish studies (Hebrew, holidays, values)
• Manage the classroom and supervise students during activities, outdoor play, lunch and transitions
• Lead classroom routines, rituals and Jewish traditions
• Prepare materials, displays and resources for lessons
• Work closely with the Assistant Teacher and attend staff meetings, trainings and parent-teacher conferences

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Experience with young children, ideally in a kindergarten or early childhood setting; Jewish school experience a plus
• Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and practices highly preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it
