A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a meticulous, dedicated accounting professional to lead its financial operations in a hands-on, player-coach role. Responsibilities include overseeing A/P, A/R, payroll, and the general ledger, producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, preparing the IRS Form 990 and the Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR), managing grant reporting and restricted funds, leading the annual audit and refining internal controls, developing budgets and monitoring cash flow, and supervising and mentoring the finance staff. Required: bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, nonprofit fund accounting and 501(c)(3) compliance knowledge, Form 990 filing experience, and expert-level accounting software and Excel skills. CPA strongly preferred. CFR preparation and Medicaid-funded environment experience is a significant advantage.
