The Investment Strategy Analyst supports the CIO Office / Investment Management Group in content creation, macroeconomic and market research, and asset allocation analysis. The role sits close to the center of the investment process where efforts will support asset allocators. The primary focus will be twofold: to assist in analyzing the economy and markets and to generate content supporting both the marketing effort and asset allocation efforts
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Macroeconomic and Market Research
Track and analyze U.S. and global economic and market data.
Topics include but not limited to: U.S. and non-U.S. equity markets, U.S. and Non-U.S. macroeconomic data, fixed income markets, global business cycles, market themes, currency dynamics and more.
Assist in identifying shifts in macro regime.
Assist in linking analyzed economic and market data to asset allocation / multi asset-class portfolio positioning for decision makers
Investment Content Creation
Convert current macroeconomic data, research, and analysis findings into easily digestible/consumable multi-media content; including but not limited to charts, presentations, webinars, written (both short and long form) material and scripts.
Draft market commentary in plain, precise language, and tailor the same message for the Investment Strategy Committee, portfolio manager, advisor, and client (retail and institutional) audiences, all with varying levels of market sophistication.
Maintain / create clean, well-documented, extensible, and automated datasets, chart libraries, and presentations.
Support current production of and contribute to new recurring materials: weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc.
Build charts to a consistent style and maintain a reusable library of exhibits and templates.
Maintain full data provenance so every conclusion can be traced back to its source.
Help maintain narrative consistency, by tracking prior views and language.
Multi-Asset Portfolio Analysis Support
Help connect macroeconomic conclusions to asset-class views and portfolio positioning in materials.
Assist in analysis of asset allocation and multi-asset portfolio construction: asset allocation reviews, valuation and positioning comparisons, and performance and risk inputs across equities, international equities, and fixed income.
Provide inputs to asset allocation reviews, including valuation, earnings, yield, and spread data across equities, international equities, and fixed income.
Help assess how current positioning lines up with the current and expected macro backdrop.
