Van Driver

Responsibilities:

Safely transport lunches between designated school buildings according to the daily schedule.
Ensure lunches are handled carefully and delivered in a timely manner.
Transport supplies, equipment, and other items between school buildings and storage locations as needed.
Operate the school van safely and responsibly, following all applicable traffic laws and school policies.
Keep the van clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Perform routine vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance concerns or vehicle issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with school staff and the Director of Facilities regarding deliveries, scheduling, and any unexpected delays.
Follow all school procedures related to food transportation, safety, and security.

Required Skills:

Valid New York driver’s license and an ability to maintain a safe driving record.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to communicate professionally with school staff.
Ability to lift and carry lunch containers or supplies as needed.
