Maintenance Technician

What You’ll Do
Complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and drywall
Perform painting, patching and other general repairs
Assist with apartment turnovers and make-ready work
Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections
Help maintain common areas and building systems
Identify issues requiring specialized service and communicate repair needs to management
Provide courteous, professional service to residents

What We’re Looking For
At least one year of hands-on residential, apartment or building maintenance experience
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and general repairs
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable performing maintenance and repairs directly, rather than primarily supervising others or coordinating vendors
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and meet the physical requirements of the position
