Job description
Position overview:
FJL is seeking a creative and strategic Digital Marketing Manager, with a real sense for
storytelling, to lead and execute our digital presence across platforms.
This role is responsible for planning, creating, and delivering engaging content that strengthens
recruitment, deepens alumni engagement and shares FJL’s educational voice. Behind every
FJL program are real stories of growth and connection. Your job is to tell them in a way that truly
inspires.
Key responsibilities:
Content planning and channels
● Plan and manage a monthly content calendar across social media, newsletters, flyers
and other marketing materials, overseeing timing and scheduling across platforms.
● Post across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook groups and WhatsApp communities,
keeping FJL’s voice and visual branding consistent.
● Coordinate the production and sending of FJL’s seasonal email newsletters, including
design, formatting and contact list management.
● Help keep website accurate and up to date, particularly program and recruitment
information.
Content creation
● Create engaging content including reels, carousels, throwbacks and testimonials.
● Design simple branded materials in-house (Canva), and work with the graphics team on
flyers and promotional materials.
● Work with FJL educators to create and adapt educational and inspirational content for
video, social posts and graphics, including Parsha videos and content around Chagim
and other key moments in the Jewish calendar.
● Post in response to significant communal or global events to reflect FJL’s voice, with
guidance and approval from FJL’s senior team.
Recruitment and growth
● Lead FJL’s digital marketing strategy, growing online reach and finding new ways to
engage prospective participants.
● Develop targeted campaigns across Instagram (reels, stories, posts) and relevant
Facebook groups, turning viewers into engaged followers and program applicants.
● Build and maintain a network of partner organisations to share FJL content, and create
campaigns that encourage cross-posting and increase reach.
Programs and alumni
● Oversee social media coverage during programs, coordinating with on-the-ground staff
so highlights are posted regularly.
● Collect and organise program photos and videos for future use.
● Post content from alumni events (such as Shabbatons and reunions), promote alumni
programming and encourage sign-ups.
● Oversee posting in the Global Alumni and FJL Extended WhatsApp groups.
Requirements:
● Proven experience in social media management and content strategy.
● Experience in either marketing roles in Not-for-profits or as a social media manager
● Jewish literacy and familiarity with Jewish educational content.
● Strong Canva design skills and the ability to independently produce polished,
professional branded materials. Applicants should be able to provide examples of
previous design work.
● Experience creating and editing short-form video content (Reels, Capcut).
● Ability to plan and execute targeted campaigns.
● Strategic and flexible worker who understands audience and digital engagement.
● Highly organised with strong time management
Time Commitment: 80-100%
Hours: 9:00 – 17:00 with some flexibility
