Track outcomes such as publications, follow-on funding, collaborations, clinical trials, intellectual property, new technologies, and investigator career progression.
Working in close partnership with Scientific Affairs, trace reported outcomes to primary sources, document the evidence behind impact claims, and assess attribution.
Assist in developing impact statements and case studies that assess the extent to whichCRI funding contributed to scientific, clinical, or career outcomes.
Research Portfolio Analysis
Support analyses of CRI funding across programs, research areas, cancer types, institutions, investigators, geography, and other relevant dimensions.
Investigate defined portfolio questions and identify trends, outliers, and data gaps.
Prepare recurring portfolio reports and ad hoc analyses.
Deliver analytical insights on grant outcomes, research trends, and portfolio metrics to Scientific Affairs and cross-functional teams to guide strategy and communications.
Data Management and Enhancement

Clean, standardize, and enhance grant, investigator, institution, publication, and research outcome data.
Identify and investigate missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or outdated information.
Apply established classifications, definitions, and validation rules maintained jointly with Scientific Affairs.
Connect information across grant records, reports, surveys, publications, and external datasets.
Document data sources and methods to support reliable and reproducible analysis.
Reporting and Analytical Tools
Prepare datasets, metrics, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical summaries.
Validate reporting data for accuracy and consistency.
Maintain a grant outcomes dataset covering CRI-funded research..
Help develop reusable datasets and reporting approaches that reduce manual work.
Explore appropriate uses of automation and AI-assisted tools, with staff review and quality control.

Requirements:

Master’s degree preferred in biomedical sciences, public health, data science, bioinformatics, information science, research evaluation, statistics, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
Familiarity with the biological sciences; knowledge of immunology or cancer research is preferred.
Approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience in data analysis, research evaluation, biomedical research, grants management, research administration, or a related area.
Experience cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large or complex datasets.
Advanced proficiency with Excel or comparable data-analysis tools.
Familiarity with relational data, databases, and combining information from multiple sources.
Familiarity with data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau) and bibliometric databases is preferred.
Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to nontechnical audiences.
