As an Area Sales Manager – Building Automation Solutions, you will lead a high-performing commercial team of Business Development Managers and Sales Executives responsible for driving market growth, developing new business opportunities, and achieving Order Intake targets while maintaining strong margin discipline.

You will lead both the strategic business development and sales execution activities for the area, ensuring the team builds a strong pipeline, identifies and develops new markets and customer opportunities, expands relationships within existing accounts, and successfully converts opportunities into profitable growth.

You will coach and develop Business Development Managers and Sales Executives across their respective responsibilities, while creating alignment between business development, sales, and other Siemens teams and channels. Acting as a strategic advisor to the Area General Manager (AGM), you will help shape area sales and business development strategy, identify opportunities for long-term growth, and drive execution across assigned segments and business lines.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers and Sales Executives, establishing clear expectations, priorities, accountability, and operating cadence across both business development and sales activities.

Drive achievement of annual Order Intake and growth objectives while maintaining strong commercial and margin discipline.

Develop and execute long-range sales and business development strategies aligned with area and regional business objectives, including market expansion, new customer acquisition, and increased penetration within existing accounts.

Guide Business Development Managers in identifying and developing strategic opportunities, building qualified pipeline, creating account and market development plans, penetrating new customer accounts, and expanding Siemens' presence across priority markets and segments.

Lead strategies for early engagement with customers, consultants, contractors, channel partners, and other market influencers to position Siemens solutions and influence customer requirements and specifications.

Coach Sales Executives in opportunity development and execution through field coaching, customer engagement, bid and proposal reviews, margin setting, portfolio positioning, negotiation, and sales strategy.

Establish strong pipeline and forecasting discipline across the team, regularly evaluating pipeline health, opportunity progression, account strategies, market activity, and the actions required to achieve business objectives.

Create alignment between business development and direct sales activities so that strategic opportunities are effectively developed, transitioned, pursued, and converted into profitable business.

Foster collaboration across Siemens Smart Infrastructure business units, regional and local sales organizations, technical resources, and other internal channels to pursue opportunities and present Siemens' broader portfolio and capabilities to customers.

Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry trends, and translate those insights into actionable business development and sales strategies.

Support the development of strategic accounts and customer relationships, including direct engagement with key customers and partners on complex or high-value opportunities.

Serve as a sales and business development resource and subject-matter leader on Siemens Smart Infrastructure products, applications, services, solutions, and value propositions.

Develop and implement sales and market development plans that increase market awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and generate sustainable pipeline growth.

Leverage internal experts, best practices, technology, and innovation resources to strengthen Siemens' competitive position and customer value proposition.

Act as a trusted advisor to the AGM on sales, business development, market strategy, pipeline, competitive positioning, resource allocation, and other commercial growth initiatives.

Drive area-level execution of central initiatives to ensure consistency, standardization, collaboration, and scalability across the commercial organization.
