Job description

Real Chemistry is looking for a AI-Forward Technical Delivery Manager join our growing team!

21GRAMS, Real Chemistry’s advertising agency, has been ranked the #2 creative health agency in the world by Cannes Lions. ROOM42 is 21GRAMS’ in-house production company, content studio, and Digital & Technology services arm — the team that turns briefs, Figma files, and napkin sketches into working, beautiful, compliant digital deliverables for the top pharma and biotech companies in the world.

We are looking for an AI-Forward Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) to run technical delivery across the full ROOM42 output spectrum — marketing websites, microsites, emails (including Veeva rep-triggered and approved email), banners, IVAs, conference kiosks and interactive experiences — built with in-house developers and specialist vendor partners. This is the person who owns whether the right work gets to the right build team, whether the estimate is real, whether it ships to spec and on time, and who is increasingly using AI to make all of that faster and more consistent. The project manager and account teams own the client relationship and the date. The TDM owns whether that date is achievable and gets the work built — qualifying intake, routing to the right build team, running the review-and-QA lifecycle, holding vendors to standard, and applying AI where it creates genuine delivery leverage, not novelty.

This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US based in any of our U.S. office locations, including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Lambertville, NJ, San Francisco, or Carmel, IN or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

What you’ll do:

Intake & Technical Qualification

Triage incoming requests from Workfront and Jira; assign deliverable type, complexity tier, and dependency flags (Veeva, MLR, client restrictions) within a defined SLA.
Return incomplete requests rather than absorbing them — no handoff to build without specs, assets, link matrix, CTAs/UTMs, and a real level-of-effort estimate.
Own or validate the estimate before any build commitment, using ROOM42’s estimation tooling and rate card.
Build Team Routing & Vendor Management

Decide in-house vs. vendor partner per project against MSA offshore rules, client restrictions, Veeva dependency, and capacity — and escalate routing decisions that carry cost or transition implications.
Run day-to-day vendor delivery: standing syncs, staging-date accountability, cap-burn visibility against SOW, and knowledge-transfer documentation during vendor transitions.
Escalate quality issues to the vendor lead and commercial issues to the Digital & Technology leadership.
Technical Delivery Lifecycle

Own delivery from kickoff through post-launch: dev kickoff, staging links, review-round sequencing (R1/R2/R3), MLR/PRC submission readiness, QA gate, and go-live.
Maintain a live view of technical progress across a concurrent portfolio; proactively flag risks to Producers and Delivery leadership before they surface in status calls.
Drive milestone gates with QA — confirm that what moves from development to QA to UAT to production is actually ready, not optimistically ready.
Manage technical dependencies across concurrent projects (shared environments, overlapping timelines, licensing, PDUFA-anchored dates) and surface conflicts before they collide.
AI-Augmented Delivery

Use AI tools daily to accelerate the delivery workflow — status synthesis, ticket hygiene, QA support, specification drafting, and documentation — not as novelties but as real accelerators.
Partner on ROOM42’s AI-augmented QA and design-to-code workflows (visual regression, accessibility scanning, Figma-to-code handoff) so quality is structural and repeatable across deliverable types.
Help define and document AI-assisted delivery playbooks per deliverable type so the approach scales beyond a single practitioner, and evaluate emerging tooling for genuine leverage.
Apply judgment to AI output — know where AI-assisted work needs human review before it reaches a client, and keep quality from degrading as volume scales.
Quality, Standards & Portfolio Hygiene

Define ‘done’ for each deliverable type with the technical lead and QA — not just ‘it works,’ but performant, accessible, cross-browser validated, MLR-clean, and visually faithful to approved design.
Own quality accountability for your portfolio: if something ships broken or fails an MLR technical review, own the root cause and the remediation.
Enforce Jira/Workfront field discipline and status accuracy so the portfolio is legible to leadership and reporting is reliable.
Lead post-launch reviews on major engagements; translate defect patterns into upstream process improvements.
Partnership & Communication

Serve as the technical delivery counterpart to Producers, account teams, UX/UI, developers, and QA — translating between them without jargon.
Partner with Producers on SOW scoping: turn creative and functional requirements into accurate hours, stack decisions, and phased rollout plans.
Participate in client-facing conversations where technical delivery credibility matters — scoping sessions, risk discussions, and demo walkthroughs.
