Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer

Are you a creative visual storyteller who can transform ideas into impactful designs while maintaining a strong brand presence? If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy balancing creativity with execution, and are passionate about using design to inspire engagement and connection, this role may be for you.

**About the Federation**
The Jewish Federation of Broward County strives for excellence. We cultivate an inclusive space where all feel welcome, celebrated, and contribute meaningfully to our shared vision. At the Jewish Federation of Broward County, you can be part of one of the most effective non-profit organizations in South Florida. Our mission is to mobilize the Jewish Community to provide leadership and financial resources that strengthen and enhance Jewish life in Broward, Israel and worldwide.

About the Position:
The Jewish Federation of Broward County is seeking an accomplished, hands-on Senior Graphic Designer to shape and produce compelling visual communications that strengthen our brand, advance our mission, and connect audiences to Jewish community, philanthropy, and impact. This role is designed for an inventive visual storyteller who pairs sophisticated design judgment with the speed, flexibility, and practical execution required in a fast-moving, mission-driven organization.

The Senior Graphic Designer is the Federation’s in-house graphic designer and visual brand steward, leading fresh creative direction while producing high-quality, brand-aligned materials across digital, print, fundraising, events, and organizational communications. This role prioritizes fast-turn production, especially time-sensitive social media graphics, and builds practical standards and systems that support speed, consistency, and impact.

**What You Will Be Doing**

**Creative Direction & Visual Strategy**
• Set the visual direction for campaigns, appeals, programs, events, and institutional communications, translating marketing objectives and Jewish communal stories into memorable visual concepts.
• Bring a fresh forward-thinking perspective to branded messaging while honoring the Federation’s mission, identity, and diverse audiences.
• Develop scalable campaign concepts, templates, and visual systems that strengthen engagement, fundraising, community pride, and organizational visibility.

**Hands-On Design & Production**
• Design and produce a high volume of polished assets for social media, email, websites, digital advertising, presentations, fundraising materials, events, reports, and other print and digital needs.
• Manage recurring and quick-turn production, balancing urgent requests with planned priorities and using adaptable templates and efficient workflows to maintain quality and speed.
• Design environmental and experiential assets, including event signage, banners, displays, wayfinding, branded spaces, and other on-site materials that create a cohesive audience experience.
• Prepare publication- and vendor-ready files, conduct final quality assurance, and source, retouch, and organize visual assets.
• Update website pages, images, graphics, and other visual content as needed, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
• Contribute visual direction and design expertise to website, landing page, form, email-template, and other UX/UI initiatives, helping improve clarity, usability, accessibility, and brand consistency.

**Social Media Creative & Rapid Response**
• Prioritize timely social media graphics for breaking developments, community updates, advocacy, events, holidays, campaigns, and other urgent needs.
• Partner with social media and communications colleagues to deliver clear, engaging, platform-ready creative on deadline.
• Maintain flexible social templates and adapt creative for channel specifications, accessibility, audience needs, and evolving platform practices.

**Brand Stewardship & Creative Standards**
• Serve as the day-to-day steward of the Federation’s visual identity, refining brand guidelines, templates, and design standards.
• Review creative for brand alignment, visual quality, accessibility, accuracy, and production readiness, and guide colleagues in applying the brand effectively.
• Conduct periodic audits of visual communications across channels to identify inconsistencies, reinforce quality, and recommend practical updates to brand guidelines, templates, and design systems.
• Maintain organized design files, templates, fonts, logos, photography, and other assets to preserve institutional knowledge.

**Collaboration & Project Execution**
• Partner with Marketing & Communications colleagues, fundraisers, program teams, and leadership from creative brief through final delivery, clarifying objectives, setting expectations, recommending effective solutions, and ensuring dependable follow-through.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, revisions, and approvals with transparency and sound judgment.
• Evaluate incoming assignments, anticipate the time and resources each will require, organize competing demands, and flag potential scheduling conflicts before they affect delivery.
• Conduct ongoing visual trend research and experiment thoughtfully with emerging tools, technologies, and design approaches to keep the Federation’s creative work fresh, relevant, and effective.
• Coordinate specialized work with outside vendors or creative partners as needed and apply relevant design, digital, social media, and production innovations thoughtfully.
• Provide art direction or design support for photography and video shoots, helping shape visual concepts, shot requirements, styling, and final asset selection.

**What You Need to Be Successful**
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, fine arts, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of progressive graphic design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating concept development, brand systems, typography, layout, digital and social content, and print production.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat; working knowledge of presentation and template-based design tools.
• Experience using project-management and workflow tools such as Asana or a comparable platform.
• Ability to move fluidly between creative strategy and hands-on production while managing a high volume of assignments under short deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Strong knowledge of brand governance, file preparation, print production, responsive digital formats, accessibility-minded design, and organizational social media publishing.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and presentation skills; nonprofit, fundraising, community, or agency experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of photography, motion graphics, simple animation, video editing, illustration, or AI-assisted creative workflows is preferred.
• Interest in Jewish community, Israel, philanthropy, and mission-driven work is preferred.

**Work Environment**
This collaborative, hands-on role requires regular in-person work and close coordination with colleagues across the organization. The Senior Graphic Designer must be able to respond to time-sensitive communications needs and may occasionally support evening or weekend programs, events, or urgent community updates.
