Remote Medical Claims Consultant

Job Description

Analyzes medical records and medical bills for relatedness and causality for clients.
Reviews medical records to evaluate care and status of the claimant.
Conducts medical journal research.
Provides clients with medical evidence preparation and organization.
Examines issues, omissions and discrepancies in medical records.
Prepares case summaries.

Qualifications

Licenses or Certifications:

You must be a registered nurse (RN) with a license in the state you reside
Experience:

Mitchell’s Medical Claims Consultants are Registered Nurses and will typically have at least 3 years clinical experience and one year as a reviewer
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency in navigating between multiple software platforms simultaneously
Ability to efficiently extract and transfer information between different programs while maintaining accuracy
Adaptability to learn new software systems and workflows quickly
Demonstrated skill in organizing electronic information from disparate sources into cohesive work products
Comfort with cloud-based collaboration tools and shared document environments

Written Abilities:

Proficient grammar, sentence structure, and written communication skills required
