Logistics & Transportation Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Transportation Manager to oversee inbound and outbound freight operations, manage carrier relationships, and ensure efficient, cost-effective transportation.

Responsibilities

• Import Logistics: Coordinate imports, ocean freight, port operations, customs clearance, and container pickups.

• Carrier Management: Manage drayage providers, trucking companies, and freight carriers.

• Outbound Transportation: Oversee nationwide LTL and FTL shipments.

• Cost Optimization: Negotiate freight rates and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs.

• Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments, resolve delays, and ensure timely deliveries.

• Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with warehouse, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in import logistics and freight transportation.

• Knowledge of port operations, customs clearance, and container pickups.

• Experience managing domestic trucking, drayage, and LTL/FTL shipments.

• Strong carrier management and freight negotiation skills.

• Ability to optimize transportation costs and resolve logistical challenges.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
