SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Element Science is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects spanning the full medical device product lifecycle, from early-stage research and development through design, verification and validation, manufacturing, commercialization, and ultimately into the hands of patients who depend on our life-saving technology.

This role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful technical initiatives that bridge innovation and real-world patient impact. Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Operations, the Technical Project Manager will align teams, navigate technical challenges, manage risks, and drive execution to ensure products are developed, manufactured, and delivered with the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience guiding medical devices from concept through commercialization, a strong understanding of the technical and regulatory complexities across the product lifecycle, and the ability to translate innovative ideas into successful product outcomes. We are looking for a collaborative, solutions-oriented leader who takes ownership, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is motivated by seeing technology make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead cross-functional projects spanning early-stage R&D, product development, design verification and validation, design transfer, manufacturing scale-up, commercialization, and sustaining engineering.
Partner with technical and operational teams to ensure seamless transitions between development phases, maintaining alignment on product requirements, quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
Drive project readiness for key development milestones, including design reviews, verification and validation, manufacturing readiness, and commercial launch.
Support ongoing product improvements informed by manufacturing performance, field experience, and patient needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
5+ years of experience in the medical device industry, with demonstrated technical project management experience spanning the full product development lifecycle, from R&D and product design through verification and validation, manufacturing, commercialization, and post-market support.
Demonstrated experience leading medical device projects through the full product development lifecycle, from concept and R&D through manufacturing, commercialization, and post-market support.
Strong understanding of design controls, design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and the cross-functional dependencies involved in bringing regulated medical devices to market.
Experience translating complex technical requirements into executable project plans that support product quality, patient safety, and successful commercialization.
