Infant/Young Toddler Teacher

The Bertha Alyce Early Childhood Academy at the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC is hiring an Infant/Young Toddler Teacher for its year-round (June–May) progressive program. Working as part of a teaching team, you'll care for and educate the school's youngest children in a welcoming culture founded on the ethics and values of Judaism.

Responsibilities:
• Keep a safe, healthy and orderly classroom, and promote healthy eating
• Plan an integrated curriculum that balances child-led and teacher-led, quiet and active activities
• Support social and emotional growth with positive guidance, smooth routines and creative activities
• Talk with families every day, in person and through the school's online platform, and share weekly notes and a weekly newsletter
• Assess each child's development, keep weekly written plans, and hold parent conferences twice a year
• Help supervise classroom aides and volunteers, and attend staff meetings and training

Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or CDA preferred, or completion of an associate's degree while employed
• First Aid and CPR certification on hire
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods and sit on the floor with children
